David joined the U.S. Army as a way to get away from the realities of home. Jeff went straight into the U.S. Navy after graduating high school in 1987. During his career that spanned both pre- and post-9/11, Jeff witnessed events that took the lives of many of his brothers and sisters in arms. He carried the weight of his experiences and those tragic losses with him, leading to a pattern of avoidance and withdrawal from loved ones. Once he was ready to take the first step to healing, Jeff began working through his individualized care plan through our Health & Wellness Program and never looked back. Harry joined the U.S. Marine Corps Reserves right out of high school so that he could simultaneously pursue a career in the police force.
