Harry joined the U.S. Marine Corps Reserves right out of high school so that he could simultaneously pursue a career in the police force. He deployed many times over his 21 years in service, and the lingering impacts from his experience in both the military and the police force led to physical and mental changes he couldn’t control. U.S. Army Veteran Jay Leitner’s second deployment introduced him to the harsh realities of war and combat.
