Santa Boots is now our Seasons of Service Program

/

The holiday season is not the only time of the year that can be difficult for Veteran and military families dealing with significant or financial hardship.

That’s why after nine years of delivering specially curated gift boxes in December through our Santa Boots Program, we are expanding our efforts as Boot Campaign’s Seasons of Service Program!

Our Seasons of Service Program will now allow us to meet the needs of even more deserving military families throughout the year as they experience a catastrophic event, are separated because of deployment, or are caring for the health of a wounded, injured or ill service member.

“Recent research has shown that financial pressures are top-of-mind for military and Veteran families, especially those caring for a wounded, injured or ill service-member,” said Shelly Kirkland, Boot Campaign CEO. “Our December efforts have met emergent needs during the holiday season. We now want to make sure we can meet critical needs of those we serve by expanding our efforts.”

How does the Seasons of Service Program work?

  • Deserving families are nominated.
  • A collection of information is provided from each family – needs, favorite colors, sizes and more.
  • Volunteers shop for every individual, making the items given personal to each family member.
  • Volunteers individually wrap each gift.
  • Finally, personal deliveries to Veteran and military families are made from coast to coast.

That means there are more opportunities for YOU to get involved here! It is because of your continued support of our programs, like Seasons of Service, that we can grow, evolve and expand to meet the needs of the men and women who selflessly serve(d) on our behalf. Veterans like Jessica* who shared, “my heart was overwhelmed to see that each member of our family got, not only what they needed, but also things they had just dreamed of!”
