Sarah Lucas, a recipient of Boot Campaign’s Health and Wellness program is feeling incredible and paying it forward for fellow Veterans! Sarah applied for the pipeline because of her severe chronic pain that was the result of two back fusions and multiple injuries during her 18-year Army career.

Since completing the program, Sarah has decided to take on a huge endeavor by thru-hiking over the Colorado Rockies! Beginning July 4 to August 14, Sarah will hike 40 consecutive days and 486 miles from Denver to Durango, Colorado. The average elevation is 10,300 ft. and the highest point on the trail is 13,271 ft.
