Austin, TX (May 2, 2013) – What Can You Do in 90 Seconds? That’s the question being posed to Americans as the 4th Annual Pushups for Charity is slated to take place in May 2013. Pushups for Charity aims to raise $1 million to fulfill the mission of the Boot Campaign, a national 501c3 non-profit dedicated to showing tangible appreciation for our active military, raising awareness of the challenges they face upon return and supporting their transition home. Pushups for Charity is a 90 second push up challenge to be held nationwide on May 18, 2013. Watch the Pushups for Charity 2013 video here: http://bit.ly/PUC2013
In 2012, Pushups for Charity raised $300,000 for the Boot Campaign, allowing the nonprofit to provide assistance such as mortgage-free housing, PTSD counseling, urgent assistance grants, and wellness retreats to our nation’s wounded defenders.
A highlight of this year’s Pushups for Charity is wounded veteran athletes from CrossFit Walter Reed, and Boot Campaign Hero Ambassadors, participating in Pushups for Charity events throughout the country. Events with Boot Campaign Hero Ambassadors include:
