Austin, TX (May 20, 2013) – Now featured on http://BootCampaign.com is the official Boot Photo of star quarterback Colt McCoy and Pastor Matt Carter. By joining the Boot Campaign, the two men are helping the nonprofit in its strides to show tangible appreciation for our active military, raise awareness of the challenges they face upon return and support their transition home. This Boot Campaign photo release comes on the heels of McCoy and Carter’s recently released book, The Real Win: A Man’s Quest for Authentic Success.
Within the heart of every man is a longing to win. Yet so many men who chase after and find success end up feeling a sense of failure and loss. We’ve all heard of men, even Christian men, who attain success or fame, yet fail in their relationships, bend ethical standards, or drive themselves so hard at work they’re losing the hearts of their wife and kids. Their drive to win only leaves them with a nagging sense of failure.
But there’s a better way, say Colt McCoy and Matt Carter, authors of The Real Win: A Man’s Quest for Authentic Success (Multnomah Books, May 7, 2013). Quarterback legend McCoy and mega-church pastor Carter offer a paradigm-shifting view of biblical manhood and true success as God defines it. Based on their personal experiences of struggles and failures and a close study of Scripture, they show how every man’s desire to win can be redeemed by Jesus.
“The real win means trusting the Lord and walking with Jesus no matter what,” write Colt and Matt. “That kind of faithfulness is possible for any man who follows God with all his heart. No matter what circumstances threaten him, a faithful man is the most truly confident man in the room.”
Packed with stories from on and off the field and life-changing principles from Scripture, The Real Win will help readers find lasting, authentic success as a man of God.
Carter and McCoy are joining a growing chorus of more than 300 actors, pro-athletes, musicians, politicians and other celebrities who are lacing up combat boots for the Boot Campaign’s photo awareness campaign.
