Founding Bully Creates Unique Gear to Support Veterans

/

Founding Bully is an apparel company with a purpose: giving back. They recently reached out wanting to donate a portion of their proceeds to the mission at Boot Campaign! We sat down with the founder, Jon Schultz, to learn why.

Tell us about Founding Bully and your unique company name.
When people first hear the word “bully,” they think intimidation. But, we look at history through a different lens. The original patriots—the underdogs who stood on the green at Lexington and Concord—had to possess a fierce, unyielding, “bulldog” tenacity.

A “Founding Bully” is a defender. It represents the tough American spirit that refuses to be pushed around, stands its ground for liberty, and fiercely protects those who cannot protect themselves. We built this brand to celebrate that unapologetic, resilient spirit.

Why should people be involved in caring for Veteran and military families?

Freedom is never free; it is bought and paid for by an incredibly small percentage of our population. When a service member puts on the uniform, their entire family shoulders that sacrifice. Caring for Veterans when they return home isn’t a government obligation—it is a civilian duty. As business owners and citizens enjoying the fruits of liberty, it is our responsibility to ensure no Veteran or military family ever feels forgotten or left behind.

What about Boot Campaign’s mission is important to you?

What drew our Founding Bully team to Boot Campaign is the focus on tangible, life-changing results. You don’t just talk about patriotism; you walk it out through your Health & Wellness Program and Seasons of Service Program. You identify the gaps where Veterans are struggling—whether it’s traumatic brain injury, PTSD, or post-service transition—and you provide real-world solutions that restore quality of life.

Why was it important to Founding Bully to select Boot Campaign as one of the beneficiaries?

With 2026 marking our nation’s historic 250th Anniversary, we wanted a partner that represents the gold standard of transparency and direct veteran impact. Boot Campaign doesn’t get bogged down in levels of bureaucracy. Boot Campaign keeps the focus strictly on the well-being of our nation’s heroes. We wanted the Founding Bully community to know that their support is going to an organization that maximizes every single dollar for true, boots-on-the-ground impact.
