Seasons of Service Program: May Update

/

As part of our Military Appreciation Month efforts this May, we provided 119 Veteran and military family members with specially-curated packages full of needs to help ease financial strain and lessen stress during a difficult time in their lives. Some have endured a catastrophic event, like Hurricane Helene, are separated due to deployment, have lost a loved one or child, or are providing care for a wounded, injured or ill family member.

On Thursday, May 15, we gathered volunteers in Grapevine, Texas, to individually wrap and box up each family’s items. From longtime corporate partners to new groups of friends and colleagues, our volunteers brought the energy and care needed to ensure each gift was wrapped with love.

While some of the individualized boxes are en route for hand delivery to the families this week, we’ve already received feedback from several families about how Boot Campaign’s Seasons of Service Program has impacted their lives during a difficult time.

“I am truly in awe of everything that was gifted to us. The thoughtful nature of each package is unbelievable. This is truly amazing and I am so deeply thankful. Please thank everyone involved on my behalf.” – U.S. Marine Corps Veteran Family, Texas

“Thank you so much. We definitely needed this at this time with us having a new baby and moving states. We’re grateful and we thank you for selecting us.” – U.S. Army Active Duty Family, Kansas

“It’s been a rough year losing our house and everything in it to Hurricane Helene. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed seeing our kids open the incredibly thoughtful gifts, and more importantly, the smiles that went along with them. Everything was perfect — the gifts, much-needed clothes and shoes, gift certificates, sunglasses, and toys for the kids! We’ve already had valuable family time together — memories we wouldn’t have had without your generosity. All of you made a positive difference in our lives, and we will be forever grateful!” – U.S. Army Active Duty Family, Florida

“Wow, what a surprise when we came home today. We were blown away by the generosity of Boot Campaign and its supporters.” – U.S. Army Active Duty Family, New Jersey

“It means a lot to our family to have these big, joyous moments in the midst of my husband’s terminal cancer journey. We are so, so thankful for Boot Campaign and the military community as a whole. We so deeply feel all the love and pride. It means the world to be honored by you guys.” – U.S. Navy Active Duty Family, California
