Push-ups For Charity Pushes Past Fundraising Goal

/

Ten years. More than $200,000 raised. And over 15,000 push-ups completed.

Recoup Personal Training in Costa Mesa, California is more eager than ever before to serve veterans and military families after completing their 10th Annual Push-Ups for Charity event on May 29. Coming from a family of veterans, our friends at Recoup Personal Training had it in their hearts to drop down and give back from the very start.

What has become one of everyone’s favorite days at the gym doesn’t come without a little sweat. “The fact that we all come together to push and cheer each other on to raise as much money as possible makes the RECOUP community a truly unique one,” said owner Mattison Fetters. “Through the combined efforts of everyone involved, we have managed to provide the much needed funding to support our men and women with invaluable care.”

This year’s event was complete with a DJ, raffles and a balloon maker for the kids. Boot Campaign Veteran Ambassador Jason Borne (US Marine Corps) joined in to share more about our mission before putting in his fair share of push-ups as he does every year.

Overall, the 10th annual event was a huge success, raising well over Recoup’s goal of $15,000 for Boot Campaign.

Thank you to our friends at Recoup Personal Training and for all who worked up a sweat in support of the veterans and military families we serve! To read more about the event from the LA Times, check out the article linked here.
