Making the Transition
Army veteran Aaron was medically retired from active duty in June of 2015. As with all job changes, it’ll be a while before he receives his first paycheck – his retirement pay won’t kick in until August. Aaron and his family have been fortunate to be surrounded by a great support network, and have been staying with friends as they settle into civilian life, but the time has come for them to move into their own apartment. With no saved funds to make the first month’s rent and deposit, Aaron and his family weren’t sure how to take the next steps on their journey. Boot Campaign was happy to help! A grant from our Military Recovery Fund allowed the family to cover their moving expenses and begin this new phase of their lives with a little less worry. We wish them the very best of luck in their new home!
