Join me at Thunder on the Parkway!
What’s more American than country being outdoors, summer sun, beaches, pools, grilling, motorcycles, country music, family, friends, drinks, and fun? No it’s not quite July 4th, but this event is gonna be close!
I’m headed to play Thunder on the Parkway, Motorcycle Rally and Music Festival next weekend at Lake Lanier Islands in my home state of GA, June 27th and 28th. My band and I are SUPER excited to play for y’all and better yet, I’ll be in ma’ BOOTS…. Military Boots that is.
I’m honored to have joined with Boot Campaign and to tell you more next weekend why. Here is a sneak peak though, in case you didn’t know I am such a supporter of our troops, wounded soldiers, their families, veterans and other’s who share my love and admiration for our servicemen. I mean, when I’m play’n’ out on the road traveling, my favorite place to stay is on our troops bases, meeting warriors, playing songs and sharing stories.
Just a few days ago I watched our President award Marine Cpl. William “Kyle” Carpenter with the Medal of Honor… and TEARS, yes tears were flowing down my cheeks! Y’all these strong, courageous folks literally lay down their lives for us, and for that alone I’m so thankful that I want to give back, show my support and encourage you to join Boot Campaign and I next weekend.
So I challenge you to wear your BOOTS! If you’ve got Military Boots, I wanna see you in them at the show June 27th! Don’t have them? That’s alright, wear what boots you have and lets show some American pride and I wanna personally meet and thank you.
Our servicemen and women work insanely hard for us to keep the “American Dream” (yes one of my song titles just slipped off ma’ tounge) and I can’t help it, my love for these people even affects my songwriting. SO… I’m gonna stop gushing and save it for next weekend, come on’ and join me in giving back, I’ll tell you how you can get a sweet pair of BOOTS just like mine.
