What Our 2023 Holiday Program Volunteers Shared

What can you expect when signing up to join our week-long Volunteer efforts to wrap, package and deliver gifts for the military families we serve through our Santa Boots Program? It’s a lot of “heart”-work as you read the family stories followed by wrapping each individual need and wish all in a spirited, holiday setting. 

Others have shared that this event really kicks off their holiday season with purpose and perspective, and we cherish that we can share that experience with the 400+ volunteers who join us all week long in Grapevine, Texas.

As we received feedback throughout the week, we just had to share some of the responses and reflections from those who joined in to paint an even clearer picture of the experience.  

“When we were all sitting around on Friday evening, reflecting on the week and comparing it to our various projects, Teresa used the phrase “soul affirming” about the entire Santa Boots project. It really was soul affirming.” – Terri M.
