Recapping Our December Seasons of Service Program Efforts

/

It is hard to believe that our Seasons of Service Program (formerly known as Santa Boots) has been in existence for TEN years. That’s a decade of needs met and wishes granted for thousands of deserving Veteran and military family members coast to coast!

This holiday season was no different as we took on even more families than ever – 177! These 788 individuals have experienced unexpected hardships this year, and their stories are a testament to their strength.

From loved ones facing cancer, families who felt the impact of devastating natural disasters, parents grieving the loss of a toddler or facing new realities after separating from service, it was our honor to serve these 177 deserving families (and even some of their furry friends, too) with boxes full of personalized gifts and services.

While gifts may seem like a transactional and simple way to impact the lives of those who serve(d), Boot Campaign alleviates financial burden and stress by fulfilling the individual wishes of each family member along with meeting any necessary immediate needs.

As one partner shared, ” Boot Campaign’s Seasons of Service Program goes beyond delivering gifts—it delivers hope, gratitude, and relief.” Here’s some of the feedback we received from families we supported this December:

“Each gift is so personal to me. I couldn’t believe how everything came in its individual Christmas wrapping and name tag. No one has ever done anything like this for me since maybe I was a little kid.”

“I didn’t know that whole big box was full of presents! There’s even one for the dog. I don’t know how to repay you for everything Boot Campaign has done for us. This is incredible. We thought we weren’t going to have Christmas and now this is a Christmas we will never forget.”

“It’s not even about the gifts. It’s about this grandiose gesture of love and hope that catches me right in the feels. I see the effort and the people behind it. THAT is what makes the biggest impact on me.”

“The support you provide makes an incredible difference. Receiving the packages was a heartfelt reminder of the care and encouragement you extend to Veterans and their families. It’s reassuring to know there are people like you who are so committed to making a positive impact.”

“This Christmas is especially meaningful for us, as it marks our first holiday after a long season of sadness. Our family has been through a challenging time, fighting for my life, and now we are beginning to experience peace, love, and joy once again. Your generous gifts only amplify these feelings and make this holiday season even more special.”

Messages like this are part of why we do what we do this time of year to show those who served — YOU MATTER.
