MAYOR PARKER PROCLAIMS MAY 19 “PUSHUPS FOR CHARITY DAY”

/

HOUSTON, TX – It is not often an event will get the type of attention Pushups For Charity has received. First President Bush “41” and now the Mayor of Houston. In a proclamation delivered to Tom Jackobs, owner of Body3 Fitness Center and one of the national advisory board members of Pushups For Charity, the mayor proclaims, “The city of Houston commends Tom Jackobs for honoring our severely wounded men and women of the US Armed Services through his commitment in organizing Pushups for Charity,” scheduled for
Saturday May 19h at 10AM at Body3 Fitness Center.

“The event will be a fun challenge to see who can do as many pushups as possible in 90
seconds AND who can raise the most money. The person who raises the most money will win a trip to Hollywood to participate in the Boot Campaign’s Boot Ride along with the cast of FX’s “Sons of Anarchy”, states Jackobs, “It’s really an honor to be recognized by the city and to give back to the same community who has sacrificed so much for our every day freedoms, the men and women of our armed services.

“We urge all citizens to come out and see how many pushups they can do in 90 seconds and to raise as much money as possible for the Wounded Warrior Project. It doesn’t matter your fitness level, it’s a great cause and we’ll have a great time and great prizes donated from local businesses,” commented Danielle Eckerman of Right at Home Fitness, who is also one of the presenting sponsors in Houston.
