Announcing Redneck Triathlon 2014!

/

It’s time for the 2nd Annual Redneck Triathlon benefitting Boot Campaign! Come try your luck at the very first triathlon event that requires NO athletic ability, and NO cardio what-so-ever!

Assemble a team of 4 and join us for a fun-filled day of excessive displays of redneckery, great fun, great food, and hopefully make some great friends along the way as well. This competition is light-hearted, yet bragging rights are still at stake as you compete to have your names etched on the famous “Chris Kyle Trophy.” Each team will be paired with a combat veteran when you arrive, then you’ll work your way through each of the shootin’, fishin’ and pasture-style-golf challenges set up by our distinguished committee. The proceeds from this unique event go directly to the benefit of our nation’s truest heroes, those who have proudly served in the Armed Forces. Each team will be paried with a Veteran from our local community. Come enjoy a day of fun, meet some patriotic Americans, and help us raise money for the Boot Campaign.

The golf leg of this tri will be “pasture style” with participants only allowed to use 1 club. Bring one if you like, or choose from our finest selection of slightly weathered models retrieved from the ponds of the finest courses in the area.

The fishing arena should prove who the true hillbillies are among us, as we test every aspect of the sport from a long casting competition to real live lip-ripping action on the famous North Star stock tank, using various types of tackle and bait. If you’re afraid to bait a hook, your teammates may assist you, but you’ll lose points and be ridiculed unmercifully for the remainder of the event.

During the shooting extravaganza, every type of shooting situation the average redneck could encounter will be explored, from ground shooting at rabbits, to flying rubber duckies. Heck, it’s been rumored we might just literally shoot the sh&%! a little bit. Perhaps a full beer or two might need to be blown up as well to round out the fun and score extra bonus points.

**Please bring one 12 gauge Shotgun per person for the shooting portion of this event**
