Public Memorial Service Scheduled for Chris Kyle, Former U.S. Navy SEAL & Author of American Sniper.

Monday, February 11, 2013 at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, TX

 

Dallas, TX (February 9, 2013) — Chris Kyle, a highly regarded former U.S. Navy SEAL and loving husband and father will be honored through a public Memorial Service from 1:00-3:00pm on Monday, February 11, 2013 inside Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, TX. The Kyle family has opened an invitation to those who wish to honor his extraordinary service to this country, community, friends, and family.

 

Memorial Service Schedule:

11:30am: Stadium Opens to the Public

Stadium Entry Through Gates A & K

Lots 1, 2 and 10 will be open for parking.

1:00-3:00pm: Memorial Service

 

NO Bags, Purses or Cameras will be allowed inside the stadium.  Only cell phones with NO flash. Please plan accordingly.

 

The Kyle family has asked that all floral arrangements be directed to Cowboys Stadium.  Flowers can be dropped off at Entry Gates A & K the morning of February 11th.  Your flowers will be placed on the field during the service. All flowers will be donated to local veterans hospitals after the services.

 

Chris Kyle served in the U.S. Navy from 1999-2009. As a member of SEAL Team 3, Chris fought in four combat tours in Operation Iraqi Freedom and elsewhere.  For his bravery in battle, Chris was awarded two Silver Stars, five Bronze Stars with Valor, two Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medals, and one Navy and Marine Corps Commendation. Additionally, he received the Grateful Nation Award, given by the Jewish Institute for National Security Affairs.

 

After leaving the military in 2009, Chris became the president of Craft International, a leader in training and security for military and law enforcement agencies.  In 2012, Chris released the NY Times best-selling book, American Sniper.

 

Chris volunteered with several military support non-profits including his own foundation, FITCO Cares,Troops First, Wounded Wear, and the Boot Campaignto name a few.  He was also committed to working with local law enforcement, community leaders, and veterans, in an effort to positively influence the community.  Chris’ constant commitment to service along with his ultimate sacrifice while serving his community will be honored on Monday.
