What Do Cars and Boots Have in Common?

/

Imagine gathering around a table each month, selflessly deciding to do something good for others. Sounds pretty interesting – right?

How would it work? Who should it impact? Why does it matter?

The team at Dyer Automotive can answer those questions – and do – with their Dyer Difference Award.

Each month the automotive dealership staff meet to learn about various organizations in Indian River and St. Lucie, Florida that are making a difference in meaningful ways.

Pump the breaks – It gets better!

Boot Campaign was recently recognized as the recipient of the September 2022 Dyer Difference Award for St. Lucie County and was presented with a check in the amount of $3,000.

“We are incredibly honored and humbled to receive this award,” said Shelly Kirkland, CEO, Boot Campaign. “While known for their expertise in the automotive industry – their kindness and support for those in the communities they serve know no bounds. Thank you for recognizing the importance of our mission as we continue to unite Americans to honor and restore the lives of veterans and military families through individualized, life-improving programs.”

The Dyer Difference Award is all about celebrating the beauty and kindness in our midst. For the Dyer family and the members of the Dyer staff, the award and donations made monthly between the St. Lucie and Indian River Counties are all about helping to make a positive difference in the community. For the recipients, it’s an acknowledgement of their tireless efforts to do the same and a much-needed financial boost to help further their missions.

So what do cars and boots have in common?

While tires are a vital need for a car to drive and laces for boots to stay closed – you still need a foot in the boot to make the car go.

Thank you to Dyer Automotive for your generosity and putting your best foot forward to help support veterans and military families.
