WHY CIVILIANS PATRICK & WHITNEY FLOYD LACE UP, SHARE YOU MATTER

/

Civilians Patrick and Whitney Floyd of West Texas are all in when it comes to supporting the men and women who selflessly serve(d) our country. Five years ago the duo linked up with Boot Campaign to support our holiday program, Santa Boots. Since then, they have used their time, energy and resources to help grow our mission and reach within the Permian Basin community that they call home.

Looking ahead to the upcoming Boot Bash and Boots & Birdies Golf Tournament in October that they are helping host, we connected with Patrick and Whitney to get their thoughts on our mission and the YOU MATTER message.

Why does the YOU MATTER message mean to you?

The YOU MATTER message is one that means the most to us. Service men and women have selflessly fought for our country because every American’s life matters to them. To us, the meaning goes past this, and allows us to show that it is their lives, the lives of those who serve(d), that matter. YOU MATTER is such a simple phrase, but the two words convey  such a deeper meaning.

What does it mean to #LiveLacedUp?

You are able to show that YOU MATTER by Living Laced Up. To #LiveLacedUp you hit the ground running to help our nation’s heroes in any way possible.

What about Boot Campaign’s mission is important to you?

Boot Campaign’s mission is important to us because it focuses on getting to the root of the problems for our service men and women. So often Veterans are treated with a bandaid in hopes that it will fix a serious problem, and no attention is paid to what the true issue is. Boot Campaign takes into account the individualized needs of each person to ensure that they are able to reacclimate to civilian life.
