Thriving Again: A Marine Shares Experience in Health & Wellness Program

What is your measure of success each day? For some – especially those we serve who have endured physical or mental injuries in the military – it may simply be putting one foot in front of the other.
What drives us as we serve Veterans and military families through our Health & Wellness Program is being witness to that incremental change – that next step forward. Whether small or substantial, knowing that the holistic, individualized treatment provided to those in our care is making a life-changing impact is what keeps us going.
Read the below statements shared from a U.S. Marine Corps Veteran who is working through his treatment plan now and is already seeing and feeling a dramatic improvement in his life and relationships.
“When I first connected with Boot Campaign my whole world was falling apart: a rocky marriage, job termination, feeling betrayed and as if I was being portrayed as something I wasn’t. Not to mention the mental strain on top of the financial fallout from all of the above.
“When I heard my Case Manager say ‘I’m here for you and we’re gonna take care of you,’ I held back tears because I so desperately needed to hear that.
“My first treatment played a huge part in tapping into a better frame of mind, emotion and body response to strategize my way out of my life situation. In contrast to that first day, my family and I are in a way better place. We are thriving. Back then I couldn’t see myself in the position I’m in now, but I’m grateful I lived long enough to see it come to pass.”
