Raise Your Bottle to Salute the Troops!
We love it when our Celebrity Ambassadors walk the extra mile in their BOOTS! Country artist Aaron Watson, one of Boot Campaign’s Celebrity Ambassadors, has encouraged American’s to “raise their bottle” as a salute to veterans and active duty military. Watson dedicated his song “Raise Your Bottle” to his father, a veteran disabled in the Vietnam War.
Excerpt from “Raise Your Bottle:”
All the fallen and the price they had to pay
Hold ’em up high and salute all the ones that made it back,
And for the ones away from home, don’t forget to pray
Looking to put those lyrics into action, Watson paid tribute to veterans like his father by donating every penny earned from “Raise Your Bottle” back to the Boot Campaign. At the Inaugural “Friends With Benefits” event held during Austin’s South by Southwest Film and Music Festival (SXSW), Watson presented the Boot Campaign with a check for $10,000 from sales of his hit song.
The good work didn’t end there – Watson continues to raise money for the Boot Campaign. On December 19, 2013, he donated proceeds from the five dollar door charge of his show at Wild West in Cedar Park, Texas to the Boot Campaign.
Join Aaron Watson and “raise your bottle” for our troops this holiday season. Your donation ensures the Boot Campaign’s patriotic efforts continue to flourish now and in the years to come.
