Keep On Moving
One of the things that sets Boot Campaign’s Military Recovery Fund apart from other assistance programs is the short list of criteria. Funding is available to all who serve regardless of generation or combat duty, and can be requested for a long list of needs. Our goal is to help military families live the stable, healthy lives they’ve earned after years of sacrifice, and sometimes a little help goes a long way.
Billy is a 50% disabled veteran who suffered a back injury while serving in the Army. Though he receives assistance from his local Veterans Administration and is applying for disability benefits, there just isn’t money to repair his car – which means suitable employment is hard to land and he can’t visit his 10-year-old son in a nearby town. Billy didn’t need much, he just needed reliable transportation to keep up with his responsibilities. So the Boot Campaign gave him a grant to get his car fixed and properly registered so he can get to where he needs to be. With that weight off his shoulders, he can focus on finding the right job and, most importantly, being a great dad to his son.
“I really want to thank you guys for the help you gave me in my time of need. I have completed all repairs. Thanks again, Boot Campaign.” ~Billy
