Why YOU Should Join Us for Military Appreciation Month This May

/

It’s Military Appreciation Month!

First recognized in 1999, Military Appreciation Month spans the month of May as a reminder to Americans to celebrate, appreciate and honor all who have sacrificed so much for our freedom. Paired with the month-long observation, there are also multiple recognition days, including Victory in Europe Day, Military Spouse Appreciation Day, Armed Forces Day and of course, Memorial Day.

Currently, hundreds of thousands U.S. troops are stationed around the world, and countless veterans reside in nearly every community nationwide. All of us have many reasons to be thankful for our military every day and give them the appreciation they deserve.

In an effort to unite Americans to get active and show their appreciation throughout the month of May, we are excited to begin the first day of our 31-Day Fitness Challenge and to encourage patriots like YOU to lace up in our boots to express your gratitude or fundraise in your community and make a difference in the lives of deserving servicemen and women.

How do these efforts show gratitude and truly make a difference in the lives of veterans and military families? Combat boots are a staple of military service and in a small way garner attention allowing for conversation and American to interact with one another. hen a civilian and veteran or service member meet, it opens the door for a simple Thank You. The combat boots purchased from Boot Campaign and the dollars raised from our Military Appreciation Month event provide personalized care for veteran and military families.

Our goal is to treat the root cause of hidden wounds of war and to ease financial strain during the holiday season to produce quantifiable, long-lasting and life-changing results for active duty and veteran families. When you join us, you become part of someone’s healing process that can have a ripple effect throughout their life, family and community – just like it did for a Post-9/11 U.S. Marine Corps veteran in our Health & Wellness program who shared:

I’ve felt an improvement in almost every aspect of my life. I’ve moved from a general mentality of surviving to one of living.”

So how will you make a difference in your community to show gratitude and appreciation to those who served this month? Join our efforts today to start making a difference!
