RedFest presented by Natty Light
coming to Circuit of The Americas™ Memorial Day Weekend 2014
COTA and comedian Jeff Foxworthy partner on three-day celebration of the authentic outdoor lifestyle

AUSTIN, Texas (Dec. 4, 2013) – What could bring the hottest performers from country music and Southern rock Americana, hilarious comedians and iconic reality TV stars like the guys from “Duck Dynasty” to Austin, Texas, this Memorial Day weekend? That would be the quirkiest new festival to join Circuit of The Americas’ (COTA) roster of major entertainment events – RedFest presented by Natty Light.

COTA executives and comedian and outdoor enthusiast Jeff Foxworthy today unveiled plans for RedFest presented by Natty Light, set for Friday, May 23, through Sunday, May 25, 2014, at Circuit of The Americas. Foxworthy, who is founder and grand marshal of the event, describes RedFest as a celebration of everything he loves to do outdoors.

“For years, I’ve wanted to organize a huge outdoor festival that combines all of my favorite things,” Foxworthy explained, “and RedFest will be an awesome mix of live music and dancing; great comedy; outdoor experiences like hunting, fishing and camping; all kinds of sports and competitions, and mouth-watering food for the entire family. You might think the ‘red’ in RedFest comes from all of my redneck jokes over the years, but this really is about celebrating the ‘red, white and blue’ and the all-American activities we associate with Memorial Day, including tributes to our U.S. Armed Forces and veterans.

“To make RedFest really rock, we had to find the coolest place in America to serve as our host city, and right now Austin is the place to be. We’re throwing a Texas-sized party at Circuit of The Americas next Memorial Day weekend, showcasing everything you could possibly want to do outdoors with your favorite people in the world. Some of my best friends in the entertainment world are coming for RedFest, and you should be there, too!”

The following artists and performers are already confirmed for the RedFest presented by Natty Light:

• Tim McGraw;
• Jeff Foxworthy;

“RedFest is sure to become one of the most unique entertainment festivals on the calendar, and we’re hoping to attract tens of thousands of people to Central Texas to be part of the inaugural event,” said Paul Thornton who heads COTA’s events and entertainment division. “Circuit of The Americas is the perfect venue to host what can best be described as a music festival with a comedy caravan wrapped in a State Fair-sized celebration. We’re fortunate to have a great presenting sponsor in Anheuser-Busch’s Natural Light brand, better known as ‘Natty Lite,’ which is a perfect fit for RedFest. We hope fans and families from across the country will join us for an unforgettable Memorial Day weekend when RedFest presented by Natty Light comes to COTA next spring!”
